Lisy Winery
Located in the Forest Sea Ecological Park in Yinchuan, Lisi is a boutique winery born in 2012, in the eastern foothills of Helan Mountain. After more than a decade of evolution, it combines vineyard, winemaking and wine tourism, with a wide collection of wines that expresses the character of Ningxia.
PRODUCTION CAPACITY
Planting Area: Xiajinshan Production Area of Helan Mountain “Sleeping Buddha”, adjacent to Jinshan Wine Town and west of Turandot Wine Town
Vineyard age: Central park trees from 9 to 13 years old (first planted in 2013), some plots from 6 to 8 years old (extended after 2017)
Climate: The climate is continental, dry with little precipitation (annual precipitation<200 mm), abundant sunlight, large temperature differences between day and night, and irrigation by the Yellow River, which helps to accumulate grape flavor compounds
Soil: The fan alluvial relief formation features a mixture of heavy gravel and sand, offering good breathability, excellent drainage and rich in minerals

Philosophy
Owner Li Xueren follows the philosophy of “benefiting the country and the people, remembering the fountain when drinking water”, integrating traditional Chinese culture into the winery’s development programming: “Respecting the land and local customs, integrating traditional Chinese culture into the expression of wine, and making premium wines with distinctive characteristics of the oriental terroir”.
The winery
Lisi Winery is located in the Forest Sea Ecological Park on the west coast of Yuehai, Yinchuan, and is the closest classified boutique winery to the center of Yinchuan. It started in 2012 with the planting of vineyards and a year later it was registered as an official winery.
In the early years, the winery’s vineyard was limited in scale, but gradually and with the help of an experienced local winemaking and planting team, it took root in the Yinchuan terroir (in the eastern foothills of Helan Mountain), and perfected planting and winemaking techniques while integrating culture and tourism.
The result was an urban winery that integrates tastings, study excursions, family accommodation and camping areas. After more than a decade of work, the winery has become a tourist attraction nationwide with the production of almost thirty wines.
The winery participates every year in the main international wine competitions Decanter World Wine Awards or the Concours Mondial de Bruxelles. In 2025, its Cabernet Sauvignon won the Platinum award at Decanter (97 points), becoming the only one for Chinese wine in that year’s competition, which recognizes the high quality of the winery by the global juries and makes it one of the wineries representing Ningxia in the export of premium wines abroad.
Main milestones
2012: The first batch of plants was planted in the vineyard, initiating the acclimatization of the terroir of the plot.
2013: Ningxia Lisi Winery Co., Ltd. was registered for commercial registration, and the winery was officially approved and started operating.
2021: Classified as a second-level classified winery on the eastern slope of Helan Mountain, entering the upper level of the production area.
2023: Classified as a Level 3A National Tourist Attraction, with a mature and well-established system of winery cultural tourism.
2025: The family-owned 2022 Cabernet Sauvignon won the Decanter World Wine Competition’s Platinum Award with 97 points, the only Platinum award for Chinese wine in this year’s edition.
2026: Expansion of its presence in the international market, completion of the signing of Hong Kong’s authorized agent Petamate Ltd (Zhengcheng International Limited) and promotion of investments in the European market.
