Helan Hong Reserva Dry Red 2019

Helan Hong Reserva Dry Red Wine 2019 is a dry red wine produced by Ningxia Helan Hong Winery, in the Ningxia region, on the eastern foothills of the Helan Mountains.

Made from a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Cabernet Gernischt, the grapes come from the Yu Huang vineyard, located in the Yinchuan area, at an altitude of between 3,280 and 3,937 feet (1,000 and 1,200 meters).

Production begins with grape selection, followed by destemming and crushing, cold maceration, and alcoholic fermentation. This is followed by the separation of the grape skins and malolactic fermentation, before proceeding to aging.

The wine undergoes 100% barrel aging in oak for 12 months, followed by blending, clarification, cold stabilization, filtration, and bottling.

The result is a deep ruby red wine with great aromatic intensity, where dark, ripe fruit combines with aging notes of vanilla, toast, and cocoa. On the palate, it stands out for its round and smooth character, its full body, its active acidity, and its balance, finishing with a long and persistent aftertaste.

Its structure and balance give it good aging potential. The indicated annual production is approximately 80 tons, with an availability of 10,000 bottles for supply.
