Yinchuan Pushang Wine

Pushang Marselan Dry Red 2021

Pu Shang Marselan 2022 is a dry red wine crafted by Domaine PU SHANG, in the Yinchuan sub-zone of the Eastern Foothills of Helan Mountains region, Ningxia.

The grapes were hand-harvested on October 5, 2022, from vineyards located at 1,035 meters of altitude. The winemaking process involves a first and second fermentation in stainless steel tanks, aiming to preserve the fruit expression and the wine’s structure.

Subsequently, the wine undergoes an aging period of 12 months in 225-liter oak barrels, combining 40% new barrels and 60% used barrels. The wood used is 70% French oak and 30% American oak.

The result is a Marselan with great aromatic intensity, predominantly featuring ripe fruit and violet, accompanied by delicate notes of vanilla. On the palate, it stands out for its round, broad, and silky character, with velvety tannins and an elegant integration of aging aromas, including chocolate, coffee, and vanilla.

The annual production is approximately 15,000 bottles, of which 5,000 bottles are available for supply.

With an annual production of approximately 14,000 bottles, this wine reflects the development of continental climate viticulture in Ningxia and the adaptation of international varieties to the terroirs of the eastern foothills of the Helan Mountains.
