Helan Hong Classic Dry Red Wine 2020
Helan Hong Classic Dry Red Wine 2020 is a dry red wine produced by Ningxia Helan Hong Winery, in the Ningxia region, from a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot.
The grapes come from different vineyards located in the Yinchuan area, including the Yu Huang, Minning, and Geyishan bases, at an altitude of between 3,200 and 3,900 feet.
Production begins with grape selection, followed by destemming and crushing, cold maceration, and alcoholic fermentation. Subsequently, the skins are separated and malolactic fermentation takes place.
The wine then undergoes partial aging in wood: 40% of the wine spends 8 months in oak barrels. After aging, blending, clarification, cold stabilization, filtration, and bottling are carried out.
The result is a ruby red wine, with an aromatic profile marked by black and red fruit, accompanied by notes of cigar box, vanilla, and chocolate. On the palate, it stands out for its smooth character, fine tannins, and balance, with a long and pleasant finish.
With an approximate annual production of 400 tons, the winery indicates an availability of 110,000 bottles for supply.
