Philosophy

“Pu Shang” embodies the ideal of obtaining the best grapes and making wine with integrity. Great wine begins with exceptional fruit, so the vineyard is committed to cultivating grapes of the highest standard. The winery aims to produce wines that express the unique character of the eastern foothills of Helan Mountain and to operate as a business of virtue and excellence.

The winery

In the eastern foothills of Helan Mountain, Ningxia, one of China’s most unique wine-growing regions, Domaine Pushang was born with a clear mission: to interpret this territory through wines of character and personality.

The winery’s story began with the planting of its vineyards in 2009, in a landscape with a continental, dry, and bright climate, marked by a wide temperature range and predominantly sandy and stony soils. In 2013, the winery began production, becoming one of the small family houses that contributed to the development of quality viticulture in Ningxia.

The name Pushang encapsulates its own philosophy: “the excellence of the grape and the virtue of the wine.” An idea that summarizes the winery’s commitment to raw materials, precision in the vineyard, and the production of wines capable of expressing the character of the Helan foothills.

From its beginnings, Pushang found an identity especially linked to Marselan, a variety in which it was a pioneer in Ningxia. Its approximately 14 hectares of vineyard are mainly dedicated to Marselan and Cabernet Sauvignon, varieties that find exceptional conditions in this extreme climate to develop intensity, freshness, and structure.

Today, Domaine Pushang represents an artisanal vision deeply connected to the land: a small winery that has helped demonstrate that Ningxia can produce wines with their own identity and international projection.
