Li’s Sunflower Chardonnay White Wine
Sunflower Chardonnay Dry White 2025 comes from Li’s Estate vineyards, located in the Yinchuan sub-region, in the eastern foothills of the Helan Mountains, Ningxia. The Ganchengzi plots are situated at an approximate altitude of 1,110–1,140 meters, on gravel and alluvial sand soils originating from the Helan Mountains, characterized by good aeration and drainage.
The Chardonnay vineyard, approximately 12 years old, is cultivated under an arid continental climate, with abundant sunshine and a marked diurnal temperature range. Harvesting is done manually during the day, at the end of August 2025.
In the winery, the grapes receive gentle treatment through cold maceration, delicate pressing, and clarification. Fermentation takes place at a controlled temperature, between 12 and 16 °C, combining stainless steel and oak barrels. A portion of the wine then remains in stainless steel tanks, with the possibility of a small proportion of barrel aging and contact with its lees.
The result is a Chardonnay of 14.8% vol., with a pale golden yellow and bright color, featuring aromas of white flowers, acacia, and jasmine, accompanied by delicate toasted and creamy notes. On the palate, it is round, silky, and fresh, with a clean and persistent finish.
Annual production is approximately 5 tons and the wine was bottled on June 22, 2026.
