The winery, founded in 2021, is located in the eastern foothills of Helan Mountain in Ningxia. It is a high-quality cultural resort that integrates planting, winemaking, art, and wellness.
PRODUCTION CAPACITY
Planting Area: Xiajinshan Production Area of Helan Mountain “Sleeping Buddha”, adjacent to Jinshan Wine Town and west of Turandot Wine Town
Vineyard age: Central park trees from 9 to 13 years old (first planted in 2013), some plots from 6 to 8 years old (extended after 2017)
Climate: The climate is continental, dry with little precipitation (annual precipitation < 200 mm), abundant sunlight, large temperature differences between day and night, and irrigation by the Yellow River, which helps to accumulate grape flavor compounds
Soil: The fan alluvial relief formation features a mixture of heavy gravel and sand, offering good breathability, excellent drainage and rich in minerals

The winery
The brand’s inspiration for the Turandot winery comes from Puccini’s opera “Turandot”. “Dulaan” means warm in Mongolian, evoking the majestic and welcoming character of the Helan Mountains.
In 2020, the project concept was implemented in the Jinshan region, in the eastern foothills of Helan Mountain, Ningxia. In 2021, Turandot Winery was officially established, with a mission to create a top-notch national vineyard and a world-class wine tourism boutique winery. Supported by the construction of Turandot Wine City, it covers a total area of 1,415 ha.
The winery has innovatively built a “double winery + double winemaker” model, combining European winemaking experience with local oriental craftsmanship.

The project is equipped with the Anmo Resort Hotel, addressing the shortcomings of high-end wine tourism in the production area. It transforms the oriental stories imagined in operas into the unique aesthetic of oriental wine expressed by the Chinese. Based on the alluvial terroir of the Gobi, in the eastern foothills of Helan Mountain, it balances grape cultivation, winemaking and cultural tourism holidays, promoting Chinese wine and wine resort experiences on the international stage. Its wines have received great prizes in various international competitions, showcasing the unique charm of the Helan Mountain terroir to the world.
Main milestones
2020: Finalized the concept concept for the Turandot brand, bringing the oriental story of “Turandot” to the Jinshan region, at the eastern foot of Helan Mountain, and planned the wine town project.
2021: Ningxia Turandot Winery Co., Ltd. was officially established, initiating the planting of vineyards and the construction of the main urbanization, establishing a model of double winery and double vintner.
2023: Turandot Wine Town Phase I and Anmo Wild Luxury Resort Hotel started trial operations, enhancing hardware support for the entire wine, tourism and holiday chain, forming a complete business model for resort wineries
2024: Construction of a grape germplasm resource garden was started, 308 grape varieties were collected, introductory and breeding research was conducted, and a grape germplasm research platform was established in the production area. By 2026, 18 wine grape varieties have met the production standards.
From 2025 to the present: Winery wines will participate in various world wine competitions, achieving high scores in important international competitions, gaining recognition from foreign professional circles and accelerating the promotion of terroir wines.
